Red Stag Hunting Package
The Red Stag (Cervus elaphus) is the premier, undisputed trophy species at Ivory Cliffs Estate, introduced from European stock in the late 19th century and thriving in New Zealand. The estate, formerly Te Rangi Station, was historically significant for pioneering the capture and sale of these deer, which established the property's current robust herd foundation. The majestic Red Stag is the primary target species for most hunters travelling to New Zealand due to its large & impressive antlers which can exceed 1,000 inches.
Ivory Cliffs Estate boasts a superior herd of Red Stags, our entry-level stag package, which measures 400–425 inches, proves this. This is largely due to superior genetics & having the perfect habitat for the stags to grow. Our aim is to hunt mature Red stags that have reached their optimal antler size and have passed on their genetics. Every hunter, regardless of whether they come during the early or late season, will see multiple stags of every size. This provides options based on the hunter's preference for typical versus non-typical stags, ensuring every hunter takes home what he or she desires.
We understand that seeing is believing. That's why Ivory Cliffs Estate offers the flexibility to upgrade your experience while you're in the field, allowing you to pursue larger size classes or additional species that may not have initially been on your list!
